Star Wars Night

Allen Americans (15-29-3-2; 35 points) vs. Idaho Steelheads (28-14-1-2; 59 points) 7:05 pm CST

The Americans play the final of a three-game series against the Idaho Steelheads tonight at Allen Event Center. It's Star Wars Night in Allen. Look for several of your favorite Star Wars characters on the concourse pregame. The Americans will also wear specialty Star Wars jerseys tonight. Tickets are on sale NOW at Allen Event Center Box Office.

Last Game:

The Idaho Steelheads scored two empty-net goals late in third period to seal the win. The game was much closer than the final score indicated. The Americans had a power play and shorthanded goal on Friday night. Zach Pochiro, Alex Ranger and Riley Bourbonnais all scored for Allen.

Americans Notables:

Zach Pochiro leads the ECHL with 26 goals.

Dante Salituro is riding a nine-game point streak.

Zach Pochiro is sixth in the league in scoring with 46 points.

Riley Bourbonnais is on a 3-game point streak and has points in six of his last seven games.

Zach Pochiro is tied for the ECHL lead with 11 power play goals.

Dante Salituro finished as Allen's points leader in the month of January with 15 points.

Alex Breton is third in the league in defenseman points with 29.

Idaho Notables:

Brad McClure and Steven McParland lead Idaho in points with 37 each.

Keegan Kanzig leads the Steelheads in plus/minus with a +25.

Alexander Dahl has four goals in five games against Allen this season.

Final Thoughts:

The Americans have picked up at least a point in nine of their last 11 games.

Emerson Clark and Curt Gogol both returned from their five-game suspensions last night. Clark had an assist on Zach Pochiro's power play goal.

Idaho is second in the league averaging 21.04 penalty minutes per game.

Allen is 9-4-3-1 when scoring the first goal.

The Americans have the tenth ranked power play in the league at 18.2 % (37 for 203).
