(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, the Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced the timeline of events for the 2009 Eastern League All-Star Game to be played at Mercer County Waterfront Park on Wednesday, July 15th at 7:05 PM.

The gates at Waterfront Park will open for all fans at 2:05 PM - a full five hours before the first pitch. Fans will be able to watch both teams take batting practice then there will be an autograph session with the players from both rosters. The autograph session will conclude at 4:30 PM at which time three players from the Northern Division will face three players from the Southern Division in a Home Run Derby. The top player from each division will advance to the final round.

2:05 PM - Waterfront Park Gates Open

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Players Available To Media (on field)

2:00 PM - 2:30 PM Southern Division Batting Practice

2:30 PM - 3:00 PM Northern Division Batting Practice

3:15 PM - 4:30 PM Autograph Session

4:45 PM - 6:15 PM Home Run Derby

6:15 PM - 6:30 PM Field Maintenance

6:30 PM - 7:00 PM Starting Lineups / Pregame Ceremonies

7:00 PM - National Anthem / Stadium Flyover by US Air Force

7:05 PM - First Pitch

Postgame - MiLB Top Star Award Presentation

Postgame - Fireworks

"An All-Star game is a special event for the fans and we're making it into a full afternoon of activities," said Thunder General Manager Will Smith. "The autograph session will provide fans with access to future Major Leaguers from 12 different organizations and watching the top sluggers in the league hit long balls toward Rt. 29 and the Delaware River will surely be a crowd pleaser."

In the event of inclement weather, batting practice on the field and/or the Home Run Derby may be cancelled. The autograph session would be moved under cover to the stadium's main concourse.

All-Star Voting is now taking place online. Fans can vote for players from each club in the league they would like to see play in the Eastern League All-Star Game. Fans are instructed to visit trentonthunder.com and follow the links for All-Star Voting.

Each of the All-Star rosters will consist of 24 players, with each Eastern League franchise being represented by at least one pitcher and one position player.

The Thunder hosted the 1996 Double-A All-Star game and drew 8,369 fans, which was the stadium record at the time. It now stands as the sixth most highly attended event in Trenton Thunder history.

The Thunder are the only team in Minor League Baseball history at the Double A Level or below to draw over 400,000 fans for 14 consecutive seasons and have drawn over 6 million in attendance in its 15-year history.
