Baysox Take A Bite Out Of Crime

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox will host Law and Order Night Thursday, June 18, at Prince George's Stadium as the team takes on the Reading Phillies at 7:05 p.m. Fans can witness canine demonstrations, tour emergency response equipment and meet members of local law enforcement agencies.

The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Bowie Police Department, Prince George's County Police Department, Prince George's County Sheriff's Department and Glenn Ivey from the State's Attorney Office will all be on hand for the event. Prince George's County Police Chief Roberto Hylton will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

At the ballpark, fans can check out police motorcycles and squad cars; see bomb sniffing dog demonstrations; and tour the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives National Response Team truck in the parking lot. A narcotics dog will perform demonstrations on the front pad.

Each organization will have a display inside the stadium. Fans can interact with representatives from the organizations, learn about issues affecting public safety and meet McGruff the Crime Dog.
