
Admirals To Collect Food In "Admirals Thanksgiving Basket Drive"

NORFOLK - The Admirals wives and girlfriends will be collecting Thanksgiving food items this Wednesday and Friday at Scope for the "Admirals Thanksgiving Basket Drive."
The food drive will benefit the local ForKids organization that assists local homeless children and their families. The Admirals hope to collect enough food to feed 20 families this Thanksgiving and need your help to reach that goal.
Look for the Admirals wives and girlfriends near Gates 3 and 4 on Wednesday and Friday Night at Scope when the Admirals take on the Hershey Bears. Fans are asked to bring some of the following items (a complete list is also available at norfolkadmirals.com):
Plastic laundry baskets (new) to carry food in
Frozen turkeys
Frozen, or pre-baked pumpkin pies
Frozen, or pre-baked sweet potato pies
Applesauce
Instant mashed potatoes
Butter or margarine (1 lb box)
Dinner rolls - ready to serve
Canned rolls, or biscuits
Aluminum roaster pans
Cans of:
...Corn
...Green beans
...Cranberry sauce
...Sweet potatoes
...Potatoes
...Collard, or mustard greens
...Tuna
...Spaghetti-O's
...Soup
...Fruit cocktail, peaches, pears
Fresh fruit - oranges, apples, raisins
Fresh vegetables - celery, onions, greens
Packaged nuts - pecans, walnuts
Packaged stuffing mix
Dry mix gravy packets, or bottled turkey gravy

Aluminum foil

Miscellaneous: decorations, stickers, small children's craft activity, or game, household cleaning items, paper products, personal hygiene items

The Admirals square off against their East Division rivals, the Hershey Bears, on Wednesday and Friday nights at Scope. The puck drops both nights at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday night is College Night with $8 White Level Tickets and discounted food at Baxter's Sports Lounge available for students with a valid current college ID. Friday night is Military Appreciation Night with $8 Red Level Tickets available for active and retired military personnel through the Scope Box Office or Admirals Group Sales Department.
