
Admirals Sign Forward Casey Haines to Tryout

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals today signed forward Casey Haines to a Professional Tryout Contract, Admirals General Manager Julien BriseBois announced.
Haines, 5-foot-10, 191-pounds, has appeared in 44 games with the ECHL's Reading Royals this season, posting 11 goals and 27 points with 28 penalty minutes and a plus-3 rating. The second-year pro has appeared in 108 career ECHL games - all with the Royals - posting 29 goals and 61 points. Last season, Haines made his AHL debut, appearing in one game with the Lake Erie Monsters and posting two penalty minutes.
Prior to tuning pro with the Royals last season, Haines had a four-year collegiate hockey career at Ferris State University. In 142 career games with the Bulldogs, Haines posted 25 goals and 60 points with 101 penalty minutes.
The Admirals play the second game of their three-game road trip tonight at 7:00 p.m. against the Connecticut Whale. All games can be heard at 102.1-FM, 1490-AM and 1021TheGame.com. You can also watch on a pay-per-view basis at AHLLive.com.
The Admirals return to Scope on Wednesday, March 14, for a matchup against their East Division rivals, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The puck drops at 7:15 p.m. in another Admirals Value Night.
