Admirals Fall to Moose in Overtime

Milwaukee, WI - Nick Baptiste scored the Admirals only goal as the team earned a point in a 2-1 OT loss to the Manitoba Moose on Tuesday night. The point extended the Milwaukee's point streak to five games (4-0-1).

Green Bay native Mason Appleton scored the game-winning goal for Winnipeg at the 2:06 mark of the overtime period.

After a scoreless first period both of the game's goals in regulation were scored during the sandwich stanza. Manitoba opened the scoring Sami Niku scored a pretty goal to give the Moose at 1-0 lead at the 10:13 mark of the second.

However, Nick Baptiste tied the score for the Admirals with a power-play marker with just under six minutes to play in the sandwich frame. Stationed in front of the Manitoba net, Emil Pettersson fired a shot from the left point that hit Baptiste in the chest and fell to the crowd where he swatted it past goalie Mikhail Berdin.

The Admirals finish off their five-game homestand by hosting the Rockford IceHogs on Friday night at 7 pm at Panther Arena. It's the annual Jockey Being Family Teddy Bear Toss where fans can bring a stuff animal and throw it on the ice after the Ads score their first goal. The bears will then be collected and donated to local police departments for use with kids in stressful situations.
