TONIGHT - $1 BEER NIGHT

The Heat host the Bakersfield Condors for the first time this season on their first weeknight game of the year. Bakersfield has been quite the thorn in the side of the Heat this season having beaten the Heat twice at Rabobank Arena.

As it is our first Wednesday night of the year, fans can purchase $1, 12-oz Bud Lights from when doors open until the final buzzer in the first period. You must be 21 years-old or older to participate, and while we encourage everyone to come dressed in costume to celebrate Halloween, anyone who plans on partaking in adult beverages of any kind cannot wear face paint or masks. Dollar beers will be available at all stands that sell Bud Light with the exception of the Bella Vista stand and the Club bar.

However, dressing in costume will earn you $5 off your ticket tonight at the Stockton Arena ticket office and all college students can purchase $5 tickets to tonight's game with their Student ID's by presenting it to the ticket office.

It's also Safe Trick or Treating night where our younger fans can walk around the Puck Drop Party Deck after the game and go Trick-or-Treating!

Can't make the game? Watch all the action on AHLTV all season long and be sure to download the new Stockton Heat App and check out the VipR camera as well for a unique and interactive experience! Or, head over to Channel Brewing Co. in Downtown Stockton as the brew pub will be serving up delicious craft beer and pizzas while the Heat take on the Condors on their TV's at 110 N. San Joaquin Street!

LAST TIME VS. BAKERSFIELD

Another game that didn't go the way of the Heat as the Condors struck twice early in the game before Oliver Kylington put the Heat on the board and ensured his, Andrew Mangiapane and Tyler Graovac's respective point streaks stayed intact.

Unfortunately, that was the best storyline of the night as the Condors scored two more in the first for a total of four goals and added another four in the second period en route to an 8-2 win over Stockton.

WHO TO WATCH

With two big losses to Bakersfield this season, and the Heat needing to get the offense cooking against this club, we're going to go with Buddy Robinson tonight as the player to watch.

The 27-year-old forward does have a point in four of the 8 games he's played this season, but is still looking for his first goal in a Heat sweater.

Robinson's goal totals have increased every year since 2015, going from 12 goals back then with the Binghamton Senators to a career high of 25 goals with the Manitoba Moose last year.

Tonight, we have a good feeling that Robinson breaks through in a big way and helps the Heat overcome their early season woes against a rival like the Condors.

MANGIAPANE OFF TO ANOTHER GREAT START

It's been a great start to the season for Heat winger Andrew Mangiapane!

Since October 12, Mangiapane has gone streaking, with six-straight games with points including three multi-point efforts on October 12 in Ontario, October 20 against San Jose and a day later in San Jose.

In that span he recorded his 50thAHL assist and just scored his third goal of the year last Saturday in San Diego, and is now just 5 points away from recording his 100thAHL point and just 7 goals from his 50thAHL goal.

In his last six games, Mangiapane now has 3 goals and 6 assists for 9 points.

GRAOVAC OFF TO CAREER BEST START

If it's been a great start for Andrew Mangiapane, it's been an even better one for Tyler Graovac.

The centerman has recorded points in all but two games this season and is leading the Heat with 10 points on the season. His 3 goals are tied for second on the team, while his 7 assists is a team best mark.

But he's off to his best start in his AHL career, having picked up 4 points the last two years in his first eight AHL games, 2 points in 2015-16 and even in his career year in 2014-15 that saw the former Iowa Wild forward score a career best 21 goals and 46 points, through his first eight games, Graovac had recorded 7 points.

He's been a consistent force for the Stockton Heat this season, and shows his poise and presence every game. With points in his last three games (1-4-5), look for Graovac to not slow down tonight against the Condors.

ROOKIE MAKING MOVES

Glenn Gawdin is quietly tied for the team lead in goals with four. The rookie potted two on Saturday in San Diego and is starting to establish himself as a real threat on the power play for Stockton. The former captain of the WHL Champs, Swift Current Broncos, is picking up where he left off last season, scoring from all over the ice.

Last week, Heat Head Coach Cail MacLean talked about Gawdin's development and how he is working on the little things while making the adjustment to the pros. Whatever Gawdin is doing it is paying off around the goal. The rookie looks incredibly poised and is fitting right in with Stockton's high-powered offensive attack.

INTERESTING FACT

The Heat power play has been really good throughout the last seven games, scoring in six of those games and posting an 8 for 32 (25%) conversion.

Unfortunately, their streak of power-play goals ended on Saturday in Bakersfield when the Heat were the beneficiaries of just one power-play chance.
