Milwaukee, WI - The Peoria Rivermen snapped a three-game losing skid by knocking off the Milwaukee Admirals Friday night at Carver Arena, 3-1.

Milwaukee outshot the Rivermen 11-2 in the first period yet trailed because of a power play goal. Peoria's Nathan Oystrick gave the Rivermen a 1-0 lead at 5:13 of the opening period with a slapshot from the middle of the blue line that beat goalie Mark Dekanich. Nikita Nikitin notched the lone assist.

Peoria added another power play goal at 3:56 of the second period. Nicholas Drazenovic was able to backhand a rebound of a Graham Mink shot past Dekanich to make it 2-0. The Rivermen scored again just 1:21 later when Tyler Shattock's shot from the left point hit the backside of his teammate, Anthony Peluso. Peluso stickhandled into the slot and flipped a shot into the net for his fourth goal of the season.

The Admirals lone goal was scored with 4:48 to play. Grant Lewis held the zone at the left point for Milwaukee, knocking the puck to Mark Santorelli. Santorelli fed a pass through a defender's legs for a wide open Ryan Thang and Thang scored his fourth goal of the season with a flip over the glove of Peoria goalie Jake Allen.

Jeremy Smith replaced Dekanich in Milwaukee's goal for the third period. Dekanich stopped nine of 12 shots in two periods. Smith stopped all ten in the third. Milwaukee outshot the Rivermen 31-22.
