Canucks Re-Assign Ryan Parent to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, today announced they have re-assigned defenceman Ryan Parent to the Moose.

Parent, 26, was previously assigned to the Moose for conditioning on Nov. 26/10. While with Manitoba, Parent appeared in seven games recording one assist and 13 penalty minutes. He has not played a game with Vancouver since being recalled Dec. 10/10.

The Prince Albert, SK native has played in 106 NHL games in four pro seasons with the Canucks and Philadelphia Flyers. In the NHL, he has recorded seven points (1g, 6a) and 36 penalty minutes. He has played in 81 career AHL games with the Moose and Philadelphia Phantoms. In the AHL, Parent has scored 11 points (2g, 9a) and 77 penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by the Nashville Predators in the first round, 18th overall, of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
