Aces set for Fourth Annual Blood Drive

The Alaska Aces and The Blood Bank of Alaska will be hosting a blood drive Friday, January 26th from 10:30am-6pm at the Aces office located on 15th and Gambell. All fans that receive a screening prior to donating will receive a free ticket voucher to any regular season home game.
Those who are interested in donating are encouraged to make an appointment by calling the Blood Bank of Alaska at 222-5632, but walk-ins are always welcome. Participants can expect about a 35-minute screening and a 15-minute blood donation.
The blood products donated are used for such emergencies as auto accidents (50 units of blood), burn victims (20 units of platelets), heart surgery (6 units of blood) and bone marrow transplants (20 units of blood).
Aces fans that get a screening before donating blood will receive one free ticket voucher to be redeemed at the Aces office only. The voucher is valid only for 2006-07 regular season home games.
After the blood drive, fans can watch the Aces take on the Stockton Thunder at 7:15PM. The series finale follows Saturday, also at 7:15 PM.
