Aces Offense Continues Hot Streak, Wins 13-7

Reno, Nevada. - 7,591 baseball fans entered the Greater Nevada Field gates in support of Military Appreciation Night. Reno, wearing specialty camouflage Aces jerseys, defeated the Omaha Storm Chasers by a score of 13-7. Ildemaro Vargas, who entered tonight's contest with more hits than any Aces player ever, finished 4-for-6 with four RBI and two runs scored to lead the Aces offensively. For the second consecutive night, Reno scored in each of the first five innings. With a 5-0 lead, Reno starter Riley Smith was tagged for five runs in the top of the fourth inning before passing the ball to southpaw Lucas Luetge. Reno responded with three runs in the bottom of the half of the inning and added three more in the bottom of the fifth. Luetge went 2.1 innings, struck out five and allowed two hits. The Aces have won 10 of their last 11 games and improve to 52-60 on the season. Right-hander Jon Duplantier will take the mound for Chris Cron and the Aces tomorrow afternoon in game three of the four-game series against the Storm Chasers.

Notes & Information
Roster Moves: The Arizona Diamondbacks optioned pitcher Stefan Crichton to Triple-A Reno following last night's game. In addition, pitcher Joey Krehbiel was outrighted to Reno. Yasmany Tomas, who was optioned Thursday, is likely to rejoin the Aces lineup before the team hits the road on Tuesday.
Rojas: Infielder Josh Rojas continues to dazzle in Reno. The lefty went 3-for-4 tonight with a double, three runs scored, and an RBI. He is now 7-for-10 in an Aces uniform in two games played.
Offense: The Aces have scored 56 runs in five games this homestand. The last time the Aces went down 1-2-3 in an inning was in the sixth inning Thursday night against the Iowa Cubs. The Aces went on to win 3-1 in the game.
