Aberdeen IronBirds News Release
Aberdeen, Md. - The Aberdeen IronBirds announced that tonight's game at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium against the Connecticut Tigers will remain on schedule, despite a temporary power outage. Gates will open on-time at 6:05 p.m., with first pitch slated for the regularly scheduled 7:05 p.m. start time.
Power is anticipated to return at 6:45 p.m., however, the use of the videoboard, scoreboard and sound system will be unavailable this evening. Concessions will open for service at 7:30 p.m. Tickets remain available at the gate, cash only. The first 1,500 ticketed fans will receive an IronBirds water bottle giveaway, presented by PressBox.
"Our team has been working tirelessly to fix the issue and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause," said IronBirds General Manager, Joe Harrington. "However, we are always dedicated to ensuring our fans always have the best game-day experience. We look forward to putting our creative chops to the test with our high-energy, family-friendly, on-field entertainment...despite the conveniences of modern technology."
