Aaron Clarke Returns to Nailers Lineup

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, the 'AA' affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, have announced that forward Aaron Clarke has been returned from loan to the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Clarke, was in the top 10 in scoring in the ECHL when he was called up to Binghamton, the AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators, on Dec. 26. It was his first AHL action. He played in four games with Binghamton and scored one goal.

Clarke, one of four Nailers to be called up to the AHL this season, has scored 31 points with the Nailers this season, the third best points total on the team. He has scored nine goals with 22 helpers and has a plus/minus of +13. Clarke's 22 assists were third best in the ECHL when he was called up to Binghamton. Nailer Jordan Morrison currently leads the ECHL with 51 points (16 G, 35 A) while his teammate Bryan Ewing is third in the league with 46 points (22 G, 24 A).

Clarke will be in uniform tonight when the Nailers travel to Cincinnati looking to end their first losing streak of the season against the Cyclones in a 7:30 p.m . contest. The Nailers lead the North Division with 49 points while Cincinnati is third with 41 points.
