Spencer Returns From AHL

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® announced today that left wing Tim Spencer has been returned by the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL). Las Vegas will play in Stockton on Friday night at Stockton Arena at 7:30 pm (PST).

Tim Spencer returns after playing in his first four AHL games without registering a point and recording four penalty minutes.

The rugged forward played in 22 games for the Wranglers this season before receiving his call up to the AHL. Spencer led the team with 72 penalty minutes and eight major penalties at the time of his recall. The 6-foot-4, 230 pound forward scored three goals and added an assist for four points this season.

Spencer is in his second season of professional hockey after spending the 2007-08 season in Alaska. The winger scored three goals and had 12 assists for 15 points in 63 games for Alaska. Spencer finished third on the Aces with 130 penalty minutes and second with 12 major penalties. The Carnduff, SK native was a +7 in his first pro season. Prior to joining the Aces, Spencer played in the QMJHL with St. John's and Moncton. In 131 games, the 22-year old scored 13 times and accumulated 37 points. The physical forward also racked up 290 penalty minutes. Spencer attended training camp in 2008 with the AHL's Iowa Chops.

Las Vegas will play in Stockton on Friday night at 7:30 PM. The Wranglers will return home to host Victoria starting Friday, January 23rd at 7:30 PM. The Salmon Kings will stay in town for games on Saturday, January 24th at 7:30 PM and Sunday, January 25th at 2:05 PM. Blue Man Group will perform at the game on Saturday the 24th. Las Vegas will host "Prison Uniform Night" on Friday, January 30th against Bakersfield.
