
Berti Called up to AHL Rockford

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that Adam Berti has been reassigned to the Rockford Ice Hogs of the American Hockey League by the Chicago Blackhawks.
Berti was reassigned to the Gladiators on December 26th from the Fresno Falcons after the team suspended operations on December 22nd. In 6 games with the Gladiators, Berti has posted 2 goals and 3 assists for 5 points and is a +3. He has 14 points in 35 games this season in the ECHL. He has also appeared in 4 games this season with Rockford posting an assist.
The Oshawa, Ontario native split time last season between the Pensacola Ice Pilots and the Rockford Ice Hogs in addition to making his NHL debut with the Chicago Blackhawks. Berti skated in 2 NHL games with Chicago last year. He spent a majority of the 2007-08 season with Rockford appearing in 42 AHL games collecting 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points. He skated in 4 games with Pensacola where he notched 5 points.
Berti finished with 6 goals and 6 assists for 12 points in 48 games with the Norfolk Admirals during his rookie season in 2006-07.
He played four junior seasons in the Ontario Hockey League splitting time between the Oshawa Generals and the Erie Otters. Berti was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 3rd round of the 2004 NHL draft with the 68th overall pick.
Gwinnett gets a chance for revenge as it continues action January 17th, against the Florida Everblades. The game is the annual Teddy Bear Toss.
