Iowa Energy Acquire Larry Owens

Des Moines, Iowa. - The Iowa Energy have acquired forward Larry Owens via Returning Player Rights, the team announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Owens (6-7, 210) averaged 21.7 minutes, 9.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.23 assists in 39 games (3 starts) for the Energy last season. Owens holds NBA averages of 11.5 minutes, 2.8 points and 1.5 rebounds in 19 games (zero starts) with the San Antonio Spurs, Washington Wizards and the New Jersey (now Brooklyn) Nets.

To make room for Owens, Chris Hines has been released and Josh Warren has been moved to the Energy's inactive list.
