LAS VEGAS, NV - Eric Campbell drilled a eighth inning two out double to break a 3-3 tie to give the Las Vegas 51's a 4-3 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs at Cashman Field.

The game started off as pitchers' duel as neither team scored in the first five innings. The 51's starting pitcher Jake deGrom broke the scoreless tie drilling a lead-off home run in the sixth inning. Z's starter Robert Morey pitched into the sixth allowing two runs on three hits in his first career Triple-A start.

The Z's answered with a three runs in the top of the seventh. Kyle Jensen hammered a solo home run and Joe Mahoney and Alex Burg each picked up an RBI.

51's tied the game in the bottom of the seventh. Las Vegas had three consecutive singles to open the inning and scored on a one out sac fly.

In the eighth inning the 51's got a one out hit from Francisco Pena, he advanced on a wild pitch and scored on the Campbell double. The Z's went down 1-2-3 in the ninth inning with Rob Carson earning the save.

John Church (2-0) picked up the win in relief and Zach Phillips (4-2) takes the loss. The series is even at one. New Orleans falls to (61-63) on the season.

Game Notes - Joe Mahoney was activated from the temporary inactive roster. Mahoney's wife gave birth to a baby girl. The Z's also activated Jake Smolinski from the disabled list and placed Kevin Kouzmanoff on the 7-day-disabled list.

Coming Up- The Zephyrs continue the road-trip Wednesday from Las Vegas at 9:05. New Orleans will start LH Brad Hand (3-4, 3.12) vs. 51's RH Matt Fox (5-4, 4.66). RADIO: WMTI 106.1 FM "The Ticket".
