The Bees dropped the second game of a four-game set with the Las Vegas 51's on Saturday night by a score of 8-0 in front of 14,153 fans at Smith's Ballpark. Left-handed pitcher Chris Jones (3-4) picked up the loss. Jones allowed just three hits and struck out five through the first four innings, but things unraveled in the fifth. The 51's exploded for six runs in the fifth frame, sending 10 batters to the plate. Eric Campbell, Vegas' first baseman, finished 2-for-5 with four RBIs and a triple to lead the 51s. The loss sends the Bees just a game under .500, good for third place in the PCL Pacific Southern Division.

Gabriel Ynoa (8-2) delivered seven innings of four-hit baseball for the 51's allowing no runs while striking out two. The Bees managed just five hits, with Cal Towey and Sherman Johnson each recording a double. Rafael Ortega finished 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and Kale Cowart reached base in three-of-four plate appearances mustering a single and a pair of walks. This is the seventh time during the 2016 season Salt Lake has been held without a run, one shy of the franchise record of eight.
