ABOUT LAST NIGHT: The Indianapolis Indians offense backed a gem from Osvaldo Bido with its fourth double-digit run performance of the week to clinch a series win against the Toledo Mud Hens on Saturday night at Victory Field, 10-7. Bido, making his ninth start of the season, limited the damage with seven strikeouts and just one free base surrendered on a hit-by-pitch to begin the game. After surrendering an RBI single to Parker Meadows in the first inning to give Toledo a short-lived lead, Bido sat down the next 12 consecutive batters. Meanwhile, the Indians offense continued its dominance over Mud Hens pitching, scoring multiple runs in the second, third and fifth innings. After a two-run single by Jared Triolo gave Indy the lead in the second inning, a pair of doubles by Cal Mitchell and Miguel Andújar before a run-scoring wild pitch extended the lead to 5-1 in the third. The game was broken open in the fifth when the Indians countered one Mud Hen run with four of their own via an error, run-scoring groundout, sacrifice fly and Aaron Shackelford single. Endy Rodríguez tacked on another with a single in the sixth. Toledo rallied in the top of the ninth and scored five runs to come withing striking distance of Indianapolis.

MIGGY GOES FOR FOUR, AGAIN: Miguel Andújar collected a career-high tying four hits for the second time this week on Saturday night. This week, he is 11-for-18 with five runs scored, two doubles, one home run and six RBI. He is riding an nine-game hitting streak with Indy since being outrighted by Pittsburgh on May 22. Friday night, he belted a 442-foot three-run homer to put Indy in front early. On Wednesday night, he tallied his first of two four-hit nights, tying his career high for the first time since May 6, 2021 with Triple-A Scranton Wilkes/Barre at Syracuse. He has registered six multi-hit games during this span. During his nine games since returning to Indy, he is hitting .475 (19-for-40) with 11 runs scored, four doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI. In 32 total games with Indy, he is hitting .344 (44-for-128) with 22 runs, 12 doubles, a triple, six homers and 26 RBI.

RIBBIES FOR TRIOLO: Jared Triolo poked an RBI single to give Indy an early lead last night. He has now driven in a run in each of his last five games. His five-game RBI streak is tied for the longest this season by an Indians batter and is the longest active streak in the International League. Since May 24, he has hit safely in nine of 10 games and is hitting .361 (13-for-36) with nine runs, two doubles, 10 RBI, nine walks and .478 on-base percentage. During this span, he's improved his season average from .194 to .278. The 25-year-old is currently rated Pittsburgh's No. 15 prospect by Baseball America. He was selected by Pittsburgh in the second round (72nd overall) of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Houston.

ENDY IS HEATING UP: Switch-hitting catcher Endy Rodríguez is starting to heat up, as he is 10-for-22 with seven runs scored, a triple, three RBI and three walks in five games this week. On Friday night, he tallied a game-high three hits. After finishing last week 0-for-21, he bounced back with his first four-hit performance in Triple-A on Monday night. It was his first four-plus hit performance since tallying a career-high five on Aug. 3, 2022, with High-A Greensboro at Bowling Green. He is hitting .288 (21-for-73) with a double, three triples, three home runs, 10 RBI and .853 OPS in 17 games at Victory Field this season.

GRAND CSN: Canaan Smith-Njigba belted his first career grand slam in the eighth inning on Friday, finishing the night 2-for-5 with three runs, a double, home run and four RBI. He now has a five home runs in his last 11 games and seven total. In 2022, he only had a single homer in 52 games with Indianapolis. He has hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games ñ including five straight games with an extra-base hit.

STRATTON AT THE VIC: Right-handed reliever Hunter Stratton posted 2.0 no-hit innings of relief on Friday night with four punchouts. He now has a 0.75 ERA (1er/12.0ip) in eight appearances at Victory Field this season. A significant improvement from his 5.40 ERA (7er/11.2ip) in nine appearances on the road.

SCORING IN BUNCHES: The Indians have tallied 47 runs this week, which is the second-most runs scored in all of professional baseball, behind only Triple-A El Paso (59). The Indians' eight runs on eight hits in the sixth inning on Wednesday night was their new single-inning high. Indy had only scored 10 runs in one contest through their first 37 games and have since scored 10-plus runs in eight of its last 18. During this 18-game stretch, they have scored the second-most runs in the International League (132), behind only Louisville (136).

TODAY: The Indians and Mud Hens will wrap up their six-game set at Victory Field today at 1:35 PM ET. The Indians earned their third series win of the season and second against Toledo with Saturday night's 10-7 win. The Indians now lead the season series 9-2, in their nine wins the have outscored Toledo 84-25. This week is the Indians and Mud Hens second meeting of the season, their first meeting came at Fifth Third Field from May 3 (1)-7. Today, southpaw Kent Emanuel (3-1, 7.26) will take the mound for Indy against Toledo's left-hander Bryan Sammons (0-0, -.--).

EMANUEL ON THE MOUND: Southpaw Kent Emanuel will make his 10th appearance (eighth start) of the season today vs. Toledo at 1:35 PM ET. He is coming off a strong relief outing against Toledo on Monday night, earning the win with 5.0 one-run innings and five strikeouts. Emanuel has been excellent at Victory Field this season, he is 3-0 with a 2.12 ERA (4er/17.0ip) in four games (two starts). He is 0-1 with a 13.50 ERA (21er/14.0ip) on the road.

THIS DATE IN 1982: On a Friday night at Bush Stadium, the Indians gave up six runs in the top of the first against Wichita, only to respond with five in the bottom half en route to a thrilling 10-9 victory. The Indians went run-for-run with Wichita, countering a two-run top of the fourth with their own pair in the bottom half. Facing a two-run deficit entering their eventual final half inning, Indy plated three runs in the bottom of the eighth to complete the comeback. Ronnie Farkas was the player of the game, going 3-for-3 with a double and four RBI. Tom Lawless and Dallas Williams scored six of the Indians' 10 runs from the top two spots in the lineup.
