
2016 Power Schedule Unveiled

Charleston, WV (August 25, 2015) - The West Virginia Power, a Class-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, are pleased to announced their 2016 regular season schedule. The Power will play every team in the league and each of the other 13 clubs will play at least one series at Appalachian Power Park.
The 2016 season will begin on April 7 at Greensboro's NewBridge Bank Park. After a seven game road trip, the Power will celebrate their home opener on April 14 against the Lexington Legends as part of a seven game homestand. Other highlights of the 2016 schedule have West Virginia playing at home on Memorial Day, July 3 and Labor Day.
The 140 game schedule is split with 70 road games and 70 home games. West Virginia will play 12 home games in April, 16 during May, 12 in June, 13 during July, 13 in August and four to close the season in September.
The Power will face the Legends 20 times over the course of the season and battle the Delmarva Shorebirds in 18 games. West Virginia will also play at least one series at home and on the road against all of the other South Atlantic League clubs This includes two series at the Columbia Fireflies new stadium in South Carolina.
During the club's final homestand this season, magnets with the 2016 schedule will be available upon request, while supplies last, at the Fan Assistance Center along the first base concourse. Distribution will run from August 31 through September 2.
