Legends Open 2026 with Statement Win Behind Laio and Washington Heroics
April 22, 2026 - CHARLESTON, W.V. - The Lexington Legends opened the 2026 season with a 6-4 win over the Charleston Dirty Birds on the road, powered by a strong start on the mound and a momentum-shifting defensive play.
Right-hander Nic Laio set the tone early, delivering five scoreless innings to keep Charleston off balance. The Legends broke through in the top of the fifth inning when first baseman Jackson Feltner ripped a two-run double to left-center, giving Lexington its first lead of the season.

Blaine Ferri Named to Week 7 Team of the Week Bench
April 21, 2026 - TAMPA, Fla. - Lexington Sporting Club's Blaine Ferri was named to the USL Championship's Week 7 Team of the Week bench for his performance at Orange County SC last weekend.
Ferri was the only player from either side to record more than one successful tackle on the evening, going a perfect five for five in doing so.
He completed 90% of his passes, won possession 11 times and bested Orange County in six of seven duel attempts.

April 21, 2026 - LEXINGTON, KY - The Lexington Legends have officially finalized their Opening Day roster ahead of the 2026 Atlantic League season, as the club prepares to begin its 26th season as Central Kentucky's longest-running professional sports team.

April 20, 2026 - LEXINGTON, Ky. - At this time a year ago, the Lexington Sporting Club women were 4W-14L-5D. They were the not-so-proud owners of the most losses in the Gainbridge Super League and marginally led DC Power FC by one point. They finished in last place and with a -33 goal differential that left no room for nuance.
Only one player, Madi Parsons, managed to score five goals.
