IceHogs Community Fund Awards $20,000 Grant to Life Decisions

August 18, 2024 - The Rockford IceHogs Community Fund has awarded a $20,000 grant to Life Decisions, a Rockford-based nonprofit organization that provides relational mentoring for local at-risk youth ages 15-23. The grant funded the purchase of a vehicle that will allow the organization to expand and enhance three of its key programs: Day Home Drop-in, Primary Mentor Sessions, and Work Now. August 14, 2024 - The Rockford IceHogs Community Fund has awarded two grants to support Rockford Park District programs, and both are renewal grants for programs supported by the IceHogs Community Fund during the 2023-24 grant term. The first is a $13,000 grant to the RPD's Junior StreetHogs, an outreach program designed to eliminate barriers that often prevent children from learning to play the sport of ice hockey. August 12, 2024 - INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel announced on Monday that they have signed forward Brandon Saigeon to a standard player contract for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Saigeon joins the Fuel from the Wichita Thunder where he played 11 games last season after being traded there by the Kalamazoo Wings. In Kalamazoo, he played 87 games over two seasons and tallied 43 points. The 6'1 center played 49 games for the Wheeling Nailers during the 2021-22 season where he had seven goals and fourteen assists. ... Full Story

August 8, 2024 - INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel announced on Thursday that they have re-signed forward Sam Ruffin to a standard player contract for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Ruffin is a Westfield, Indiana native that played for the Indiana Jr. Ice 16U team in the 2013-14 season before playing two seasons at Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana.
