Walleye Add a Pair of Defensemen

July 22, 2016 - Toledo, OH - Defensemen Simon Denis (SEE-moan, DEN-ee) and Nolan Zajac (ZAY-jack) have agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2016-17 season. Zajac, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, has spent the last four seasons with the University of Denver posting 19 goals, 76 assists, and 78 penalty minutes while playing as a plus 33 over 160 contests. The 23-year-old set a career high with six goals his freshman year (2012-13) and picked up 21 assists during the 2014-15 season the most he had in a single year for the Pioneers. ... Full Story

Walleye Extend Eight Qualifying Offers

July 1, 2016 - Toledo, OH - The Toledo Walleye announced today its list of players that have received qualifying offers for the 2016-17 season. Information regarding qualified players is listed below. Goaltender Jeff Lerg along with defensemen Ralfs Freibergs, Spencer Humphries and Jacob MacDonald each received an offer. June 29, 2016 - TOLEDO, OH - The Toledo Walleye introduced Dan Watson as the new head coach, becoming the third person to hold that position in the team's eight-year history. Watson takes over for Derek Lalonde, who stepped down after two seasons in Toledo to take the head coaching job with the AHL's Iowa Wild.
