Miners Add Shortstop Evan Berkey from Pioneer League

February 26, 2026 - The Sussex County Miners have signed Evan Berkey, adding an emerging infielder for the upcoming season. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound native of La Quinta, CA, throws and bats right-handed and can play shortstop, second base, and third base. Last season, the 26-year-old boasted a .355 batting average with the Yuba-Sutter High Wheelers (now Freebirds) of the Pioneer League. Tigers Purchase Contract of Nolan McCarthy

February 25, 2026 - Ottawa, ON - The Detroit Tigers purchased the contract of former Ottawa Titans outfielder Nolan McCarthy on Wednesday. McCarthy, 24, suited up in 29 games for the Titans to begin his professional career last summer, hitting .320 with 11 doubles, three home runs, and 20 RBI. February 25, 2026 - Ottawa, ON - The Ottawa Titans Baseball Club announced today that they have agreed to terms on a contract extension with utility player Justin Fogel for the upcoming 2026 Frontier League season.
