Stingrays Add Former San Francisco Captain Scott Langdon and Defensemen Dylan King

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today that the team signed defensemen Scott Langdon and Dylan King. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

Langdon, 29, served as the San Francisco Bulls' (ECHL) team captain this season and added seven points (three goals, four assists) in 40 games. The Ancaster, Ontario, product appeared in 222 career ECHL matchups over six professional seasons with Reading and San Francisco racking up 45 points (nine goals, 36 assists) and 471 penalty minutes.

King, 23, joins the Stingrays after netting three goals and nine assists for 12 points in 38 games with the Bulls. Last season, the Thessalon, Ontario, native battled in 69 contests with the Bulls totaling 11 points (two goals, nine assists). During his rookie campaign (2011-12), King was selected to the Central Hockey League (CHL) All-Star Game and All-Rookie Team as a member of the Allen Americans where he gathered eight points (four goals, four assists) and a plus-minus rating of +13 in 48 games.

The Bulls ceased operations on Monday, January 27 and all players under ECHL contracts became unrestricted free agents.

The Stingrays host the Greenville Road Warriors on Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8 at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum.
