Hershey Bears News Release
HERSHEY, Pa. - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today that goaltender Brandon Anderson has been reassigned to the ECHL's Reading Royals. The announcement was made by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
Anderson, 20, backed up goaltender Philipp Grubauer on Sunday in Atlantic City but did not see game action. It was his second reassignment to HERSHEY this season.
Anderson has made 15 appearances in the Royals net, posting a record of 8-6-1, a goals-against average of 3.05 and save percentage of .880 while registering two shutouts.
The 6-1, 184-pound native of Langley, BC joined HERSHEY late in the 2011-12 regular season but did not appear in a game. He finished the final season of his WHL junior career with the Brandon Wheat Kings, after starting 2011-12 and spending the three previous years with the Lethbridge Hurricanes. In 138 career games in the WHL, Anderson has a record of 44-62-17.
HERSHEY visits the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday, March 1 at 7:05 PM. The BEARS' next home game is set for Saturday, March 2 at 7:00 PM against the Norfolk Admirals. Individual tickets are available at the GIANT Center box office, by calling (717) 508-BEAR or online at TicketMaster.com.
