
Paul Karpowich Returned to Evansville

Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced today the St. Louis Blues ahve reassigned goaltender Paul Karpowich from their American Hockey League affiliate, Peoria Rivermen to the Evansville IceMen of the ECHL.
Karpowich, 24, spent two weeks on the Rivermen roster without appearing in a game. He made his professional debut this season with the IceMen. In 23 games, he has posted a 7-12-1-1 record with a 3.08 goals-against average and 0.905 save percentage. He posted a 23-save shutout on Nov. 17 against Fort Wayne.
Selected by the Blues in the seventh round, 185th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Karpowich played the last four seasons at Clarkson University. In 2011-12 with the Golden Knights, he played a career-high 37-games, posting a record of 16-15-6 with a school record 5-shutouts and a 2.46 GAA and .921 sv%. In all, Karpowich played in school record 130-career games, registering 7-shutouts and 46-victories.
