Omaha Storm Chasers News Release

Oklahoma City, OK - Anthony Seratelli slugged two home runs and Clint Robinson added another as Omaha downed Oklahoma City, 7-4, Monday night in the third of a four-game set matching the two American Conference division front-runners. The Storm Chasers won their second straight in the series to improve to 48-30 and beat the RedHawks for a sixth time in seven tries.

For a second straight night, Seratelli started the scoring with a home run, doing so with a two-run clout off former Omaha right-hander Brian Bass to give the Storm Chasers a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Clint Robinson doubled with one out in the third, advanced to third base on a ground out and scored on a single by David Lough, who has knocked in 12 runs against the RedHawks this season, to increase the margin to three.

Seratelli struck again in the fourth with an opposite field shot to left, his team-high 14th of the season, to increase the lead to 4-0. The versatile switch-hitter has five hits against OKC this season, all of which have been long balls. Bass was tagged with the loss after giving up the four runs on nine hits while walking three and striking out six over eight innings.

The hosts dented the scoreboard in the home fourth when Brett Wallace doubled in a pair of runs with two outs against Nate Adcock, making his first start with Omaha since June 4 after spending most of the last two months in Kansas City. The right-hander earned his first win with the Chasers since April 22 after allowing a pair of runs on four hits while walking one and fanning three over six frames.

Johnny Giavotella tripled to drive in a run and end an 0-for-15 drought before he scored on Robinson's home run during a three-run ninth that proved to be crucial. Tommy Hottovy took over for Adcock and retired the first six hitters he faced before Scott Moore and Mike Hessman opened the bottom of the ninth with back-to-back home runs to trim the deficit to 7-4. The veteran left-hander steadied and got out of the inning without any further damage to record his seventh save of the season.

The series concludes Tuesday morning with Omaha southpaw Will Smith taking the mound against OKC right-hander Armando Galarraga. Coverage of the game gets underway at 10:45 am and can be heard locally on 1180 Zone Two, The Deuce and online at omahastormchasers.com.
