Cyclones Add Trio of Players

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have signed defenseman Phil Youngclaus and forwards Brad Townsend and Tyler Fletcher.

Youngclaus, a fifth-year defenseman, will join the Cincinnati blue line after starting the season with the Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League. While in the CHL, the Methuen, Massachusetts native posted a pair of assists and 12 penalty minutes in 18 games. As a pro, he's also seen time in the ECHL, IHL, and SPHL, with his most recent Double-A stint coming last season with the Gwinnett Gladiators. Youngclaus played collegiately at the University of Vermont from 2002-2006 where he earned 11 points (2 goals, 9 assists) in 78 games.

Townsend, a 24-year-old Davisburg, Michigan native will be playing at the ECHL level for the first time in his career. Earlier this season, he logged 11 games with the Lapeer Loggers (AAHL), notching 6 points and 62 penalty minutes. In addition, the five-foot-eleven forward saw action with both the Louisiana Ice Gators and Dayton Gems.

Fletcher returns for his second stint with Cincinnati this season. Just a few weeks ago, he skated in a pair of games but didn't record any points. He has spent the majority of the 2010-11 season with the Knoxville Ice Bears (SPHL), where he posted 22 points (7 goals, 15 assists) and 61 penalty minutes in 34 games. Before going pro this year, he spent three seasons at the University of Wisconsin Superior - appearing in 82 games, amassing 36 points.

The defending Kelly Cup Champions will return to U.S. Bank Arena TONIGHT when play host to the Toledo Walleye at 7:30pm. It will be another Wet Wednesday with $1 PBR and Miller High Life flowing all night long. 2010-11 single game and discounted group tickets are available now. 2011-12 season tickets go on sale to the general public on March 5.
