Everblades D-Man Lawson Recalled to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that defenseman Kyle Lawson has be recalled to the American Hockey League by the Charlotte Checkers.

The call-up to Charlotte is the third one this season for Lawson. Including playing in last night's game with the Checkers the New Hudson, Michigan native has now seen action in six games with Charlotte this season.

Lawson has skated in 41 games with the Everblades this season picking up nine assists and 38 penalty minutes. The 24-year-old is in his first full professional season although he did make his pro debut in 2009-10 playing in 10 games with the Albany River Rats of the AHL where he tallied one assist.

Prior to joining the pro ranks Lawson spent four years at the collegiate level at the University of Notre Dame where he had 90 points in 161 games during his four years.
