Marlies' Forward Christian Hanson Named To PlanetUSA Roster

The American Hockey League announced today that Toronto Marlies forward Christian Hanson was named to the PlanetUSA team roster for the 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic, to be played on January 19 at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine.

Hanson, 24, has skated in 22 games with the Marlies, collecting 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) and 27 penalty minutes. The 6'4, 228-pound forward ranks first on the club in goals and is tied for first in points and multi-point games. Hanson is tied for seventh in the AHL in rookie scoring with 21 points. On November 20 in Lake Erie, he had the biggest night of his professional career, registering his first career AHL hat-trick and adding an assist for four points.

The Venetia, PA native has appeared in six games with the Maple Leafs this season, recording one assist and four penalty minutes. In 11 career NHL games with Toronto, Hanson has recorded a goal and two assists.
