
Khudobin, Noreau To AHL All-Star Game

HOUSTON - The American Hockey League (AHL) announced today the roster for the PlanetUSA AHL All-Star squad and Aeros G Anton Khudobin has been selected as one of the three goaltenders. Yesterday the league announced the Canadian All-Star roster including Aeros D Maxim Noreau.
Khudobin, 23 (5/7/86), is 9-8-1 with a 1.89 and 0.917 Sv% this season. Khudobin currently ranks second among AHL goaltenders with four shutouts this season. The 5'11" 176 pound native of Kazakhstan led the Aeros to the Western Conference Finals last season with an 8-8-0 record in 17 playoff GP including two shutouts, a 2.70 GAA and a 0.900 Sv%.
Noreau, 22 (5/24/87), leads the Aeros in assists with 12 and is third on the club in goals (9) and points (21). Noreau's nine goals leads all AHL defensemen while his 21 points ranks eighth among AHL blue liners. The 5-foot-11, 192 pound native of Montreal, Quebec has recorded 31 goals and 45 assists for 76 points in 160 game played for the Aeros.
Each team is comprised of 24 players - 13 forwards, eight defensemen and three goaltenders. The Canadian All-Star team is made up of players born in Canada while players born in the United States and abroad make up the PlanetUSA All-Star team. AHL fans determined the starting lineup via on-line balloting at theahl.com, while a committee of AHL coaches selected the remainder of the roster.
The 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic will feature the top talent in the American Hockey League competing in the 2010 AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Monday, January 18 (8:00 p.m. ET) and the 2010 AHL All-Star Game on Tuesday, January 19 (6:00 p.m. ET), and will be televised live nationally in the United States and Canada. Of the 492 players to take part in the AHL All-Star Classic since 1995, more than 94 percent have competed in the National Hockey League, including Patrice Bergeron, Brad Boyes, Dan Boyle, Daniel Briere, Brian Campbell, Zdeno Chara, Rick DiPietro, Miikka Kiprusoff, Kari Lehtonen, Ryan Miller, Zach Parise, Bobby Ryan, Martin St. Louis, Jason Spezza, Eric Staal and Tomas Vokoun.
