San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (December 30, 2009) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that the American Hockey League club has signed forward Ryan Weston to a Professional Try-Out (PTO) contract.
Weston, 25, has appeared in 15 games with the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL) this year, recording five goals and seven assists.
A native of Henniker, New Hampshire, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound forward played in 70 AHL games with Albany River Rats over the course of the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons, collecting 16 points (nine goals and seven assists) and 88 penalty minutes.
Prior to joining the River Rats late in the 2007-08 AHL campaign, Weston served as an alternate captain during his senior year at Boston University (NCAA) and finished with two goals and six assists in 36 games. In four years with the Terriers, Weston missed only 14 of 160 games and collected 26 points (nine goals and 17 assists) and 133 penalty minutes.
The Rampage will take to the ice tonight against the Syracuse Crunch in a 7 p.m. (CDT) matchup at the AT&T Center.
