Blades trade Dunne to Gwinnett

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced that defenseman Jeff Dunne has been traded to the Gwinnett Gladiators for financial considerations.

Dunne's only action with the Everblades this season came in the team's two pre-season games vs. Phoenix, which he finished with no points and a plus-2 rating. The 23-year old wrapped up a four-year collegiate career last season at Michigan State University that included a National Championship in 2007. During his senior year in 2007-08 Dunne picked up seven points (3g, 4a) and 29 penalty minutes in 37 games. Dunne helped lead the Spartans to the third NCAA Championship in school history in 2006-07 by tallying 11 points (1g, 10a) in 33 games.

The Everblades return to action on Friday, November 21 when they travel to Augusta to take on the Lynx from James Brown Arena at 7:30 p.m.! The Everblades' next home game is Friday, December 12 when they host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30 p.m.
