Texas Wildcatters News Release

Beaumont, TX (November 20, 2006) The Texas Wildcatters Hockey Team hosted a Gulf Credit Union street hockey clinic for the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council yesterday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Ford Arena. More than 90 girls attended the hockey clinic with Wildcatters players Keith MCWilliams, Paul Albers, Steve Mullin, Mike Madill, Jason Beeman and Riley Emmerson. The Girls traveled with their parents from Orange and Jefferson counties to take advantage of some one-on-one instruction on the game of hockey.

The players familiarized the girls with the rules of the game, how to pass the puck, and how to shoot the puck shoot. At the conclusion of the sessions, they had a chance to participate in actual gameplay. They also had the opportunity to tour the Wildcatters' locker room and Ford Arena. The Girl Scouts received a ticket to a Wildcatters game and a hockey patch for their uniform vest.

The Texas Wildcatters are the ECHL affiliate for the AHL's Houston Aeros. The Wildcatters begin a three game on Thursday, December 7 vs. the Charlotte Checkers.
