Four-Spots Secure Series Split for Tri-City
April 21, 2024 - Back-to-back four-run innings proved more than enough support Sunday afternoon for the Tri-City Dust Devils (5-10), who took a 9-3 victory over the Hillsboro Hops (6-9) at Hillsboro Ballpark to split the teams' six-game series. Tri-City first struck for four in the 2nd inning, chasing Hillsboro starter Joe Elbis (0-1) by taking advantage of free passes he issued with three hits in the inning. April 21, 2024 - A third straight win eluded the Tri-City Dust Devils (4-10) Saturday night in Hillsboro, where former Dust Devil Cole Percival helped his new team, the Hillsboro Hops (6-8), grab a 3-1 win at Hillsboro Ballpark. Percival (1-0), who made nine appearances for Tri-City last season, threw five innings of one-run ball and struck out six in getting his first win of the year for Hillsboro. April 20, 2024 - The first home runs of 2024 by CF Werner Blakely and LF Jorge Ruiz broke open a strange ballgame Friday night at Hillsboro Ballpark, where the Tri-City Dust Devils (4-9) beat the Hillsboro Hops (5-8) by a score of 11-3 to even the series at two games apiece.
