Joseph Blair Named Head Coach of NBA G League United

August 31, 2025 - EDINBURG, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the NBA G league affiliate of the Houston Rockets, have announced Joseph Blair as Head Coach of the NBA G League United team which will represent the G League at the 2025 FIBA Intercontinental Cup in Singapore from Sept. 18 through the 21 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Vipers and Driscoll to Host Fifth Annual Back to School Expo

July 10, 2025 - EDINBURG, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers, in conjunction with Driscoll, will host its fifth annual "Back to School Expo" on Wednesday, July 23 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. CT at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg. The primary goal of the event is to ensure that students of the Rio Grande Valley receive the necessary tools for a successful school year. Vipers Acquire Mäntynen in 2025 International G League Draft

July 8, 2025 - EDINBURG, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the NBA G League Affiliate of the Houston Rockets, announced today that the team has acquired the rights to Finland native and forward Joel Mäntynen as the 11th overall pick during the 2025 NBA G League International Draft. Mäntynen (6-7, 178lbs.) spent the 2024-25 season with the PS Karlsruhe Lions and the BK Levicki Patrioti Levice where he played in 35 games averaging 8.8 points and 3.5 rebounds. June 16, 2025 - EDINBURG, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers have partnered with Sonic to promote the importance of literacy across the Rio Grande Valley through its annual "Blocks for Books" event on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
