Zeiler Returns To Los Angeles

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled right wing John Zeiler from his two-week conditioning stint, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Zeiler, who will turn 26 on November 21, was placed on the injured reserve list October 3 with a groin strain and sent to Manchester on November 3 for conditioning. In two games during his conditioning stint, Zeiler collected an assist and four penalty minutes with the Monarchs. Last season, the 6-foot, 204-pound native of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, recorded one point (0-1=1) and 23 penalty minutes with the Kings. With Manchester last season, he recorded 12 points (6-6=12) and 40 penalty minutes in 45 regular season games and two points (0-2=2) and eight penalty minutes in four playoff games. Zeiler was originally selected by Phoenix in the fifth-round (132nd overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and was signed by the Kings as an unrestricted free agent on February 17, 2007.
