The Wolf Pack split a pair of road games against North Division competition this past week. Friday night the Pack traveled to Grand Rapids for the first get-together between themselves and the Griffins in the eight years that the Griffins have been in the AHL. The Wolf Pack built leads of 1-0 and 2-1 in that contest, but Grand Rapids would battle back to get the final two goals of the game to eke out a 3-2 win. On Sunday afternoon at Lake Erie it was the Wolf Pack's turn to come from behind, as they wiped out a 2-0 first-period deficit on the way to a 5-3 triumph. That victory was the Pack's first road win of the year in five tries (1-3-0-1). P.A. Parenteau exploded for the Wolf Pack's first four-point game of the year, and his first in a Wolf Pack uniform, Sunday, with 2-2-4, and he totaled 3-3-6 in the weekend's two games.

This week:

The Wolf Pack faces its first four-games-in-five-days grind of the season, and all four are Atlantic-Division battles. Coach Kevin Dineen and the Portland Pirates visit the XL Center on Wednesday for a 7:00 game, and then Hartford fans get their first look at the Lowell Devils on Friday night at 7:00, on Teacher Appreciation Night and Guida's Family Value Night. The Pack then are back the road for a pair, traveling to Portland on Saturday (7:00) and to Providence on Sunday (4:05).

Wednesday, November 19th vs. Portland at the XL Center, 7:00 p.m.

- This game is the first game for the Wolf Pack's new ticket discount promotion, as adult tickets can be purchased for as low as $10 each. This offer is good for all Pack home games through January 2nd.

- Two new, exciting in-game ticket promotions also start with this game. Starting tonight, one Wolf Pack player will be designated the "Player of the Game" for each home game. If that player scores a goal in the first period of that night's game, then fans in attendance that night can buy adult red-level tickets, for the next home game only and only at the XL Center box office, for just $10 each, until the end of that night's game. Similarly, if the Wolf Pack scores a power-play goal during the second period of a home game, the same deal applies, $10 adult, red-level tickets for the next home game only at the XL Center box office until the end of that night's game.

- Head Coach Kevin Dineen's Pirates sit atop the Atlantic Division with a record of 11-1-1-0 for 23 points. One of the only blemishes on their record was a 3-2 overtime loss to the Wolf Pack at the XL Center October 29th.

- Pirates scoring leader Mark Mancari is tied for second in the AHL in points, with 11-13-24 in 13 games.

Friday, November 21st vs. Lowell at the XL Center, 7:00 p.m.

- This is "Teacher Appreciation Night" at the XL Center. Teachers can get $24 tickets for just $16, by calling the Wolf Pack ticket office at (860) 548-2000. Also, all teachers will receive their own Wolf Pack pencil in appreciation for all they do.

- Being a Friday night, this is also a Guida's Family Value Night. Family Value packages start at $39 and include three tickets, three hot dogs or pizza slices, three sodas and a Wolf Pack souvenir. - After starting 4-2-0-1 in their first seven games, the Devils are winless in their last seven, 0-5-1-1. Lowell currently stands four points behind the Wolf Pack in the Atlantic Division, at 4-7-1-2 for 11 points.

- This is the first of eight meetings on the year between the Pack and the Devils. The Wolf Pack were 6-1-0-1 in last season's series, 3-1-0-0 at home.

- South Windsor, CT product Jon DiSalvatore is Lowell's top point-getter, having totaled 3-9-12 in 14 games.

Saturday, November 22nd at Portland (Cumberland County Civic Center), 7:00 p.m.

- The Wolf Pack were 1-3-0-0 in four visits to Portland last season, but all-time the Pack sport a record of 19-9-4-2 in 34 trips to the Cumberland County Civic Center.

Sunday, November 23rd at Providence (Dunkin' Donuts Center Providence), 4:05 p.m.

- The Bruins are in second place in the Atlantic Division, with a record of 9-5-1-0 for 19 points, four points ahead of the fourth-place Wolf Pack.

- Former assistant coach Rob Murray is the new head coach in Providence this season, replacing Scott Gordon, who was hired as the New York Islanders' head coach after five-plus seasons behind the P-Bruins' bench.

- Defenseman Johnny Boychuk leads the Providence club in points, and is the top point-getter among defensemen in the league, with 4-14-18 in 15 games. That is also good for a tie for third overall in the AHL in assists.

- This is the first of eight meetings on the year between the Wolf Pack and Bruins, against whom the Pack went 2-3-1-2 last season, including 1-0-1-2 in four road games.

The next big Wolf Pack promotional giveaway night is coming up Saturday, November 29th, when the Pack takes on the Manchester Monarchs at 7:00.
