BUMP IN THE ROAD
Saturday's 4-2 loss at Syracuse snapped Chicago's season-high five-game win streak; the Wolves rank first in the West Division with 22 points and fifth in the AHL with a .733 winning percentage (10-3-1-1).

--- JOE MOTZKO: Ranks first on the team with seven goals and 12 points in 15 games this season ... Tied for fourth on the team with a +8 plus/minus rating ... --- DAN TURPLE: Turned away 32 of 34 shots in regulation and overtime plus all five attempts in the shootout at Rochester on Nov. 14 ... Posted a 3-0-0 record, an 1.30 goals-against average and .956 save percentage in three starts this year ... Accrued a 33-25-5 record with a 3.49 goals-against average and .891 save percentage over the last two seasons with the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators ... Appeared in one game for the Grand Rapids Griffins last season, notching a 3.00 goals-against average in 20 minutes of action in his AHL debut.

WOLF TRACKS
--- The Wolves have held their opponents to just 26 goals through the first 15 outings this season (1.73 per game), which leads the American Hockey League and includes allowing two or fewer goals in 12 of those contests.
--- Chicago has outgunned its foes 10 times this season, which includes outshooting Syracuse, 46-38, on Saturday. With the loss to the Crunch, the Wolves failed to earn a point for the first time this season in which they have outshot opponents (7-1-1-1).
--- The Wolves have tallied three or more goals in four of their past six games; Chicago ranks 21st in the league with an average of 2.67 goals per game.
--- Chicago has allowed a power-play goal in five straight games after giving up only one man-advantage strike in the previous four contests; the Wolves rank 17th in the league with an 84.3 percent efficiency rating (75 of 89).

SKATERS TURNED WAITERS
--- The Wolves will host their 11th annual "Get Fed by the Wolves" lunch at Cheeseburger in Paradise, 1472 Market St., in Des Plaines on Sun., Nov. 23, from 2 to 5 p.m. Players will serve as waiters at the event and proceeds from the luncheon will benefit several nonprofit organizations, including the Tim Breslin Scholarship Opportunities, First Step Foundation, Interfaith Council for the Homeless and other Chicago-area charities.

--- The Wolves skated out to an early 1-0 lead but then let up four straight markers before falling 4-2 to the Syracuse Crunch at the War Memorial at OnCenter Saturday night.
--- Forwards JOE MOTZKO and JOEY CRABB each netted a power-play goal.
--- Goaltender ROBERT GHERSON turned away 34 of 38 shots.

--- The Wolves watched a 2-1 lead slip away late in the third period before recovering for a 3-2 shootout win over the Rochester Americans Friday night.
--- Left wing BRETT STERLING potted the lone goal in the shootout and forwards JUNIOR LESSARD and GRANT STEVENSON tallied for the Wolves in regulation.
--- Goaltender DAN TURPLE stopped 32 of 34 shots in regulation and overtime and all five attempts in the shootout.
