Pat Dwyer Returns From Carolina

RALEIGH, NC-Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned forward Patrick Dwyer to the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

Dwyer, 25, was recalled from Albany on Nov. 2, and made his NHL debut that day against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Spokane, WA, native, averaged 9:08 of ice time per game, including 2:54 of shorthanded ice time per game, while playing in the Hurricanes' last seven games. Dwyer (5'11", 175 lbs.) returns to Albany where he recorded four points in the River Rats' first eight games of the season.

The Hurricanes face off against the Tampa Bay Lightning today at the RBC Center (3 p.m., Hurricanes Radio Network) in the first game of a four-game home stand.
