Winnipeg-----The Winnipeg Goldeyes defeated the Explorers 15-8 here Thursday to complete the three-game sweep of the X's.
Winnipeg jumped on Explorers starter Jason Jarvis for four runs in the first inning. Leading 6-2 in the fourth inning, the Goldeyes put the game away with four runs in the fourth and added another five runs in the fifth as the Explorers have now lost six of their last seven games and drop into a three way tie for third place in the Central Division of the American Association with Lincoln and Kansas City, eight games behind first place Gary-Southshore.
The Explorers had 13 hits with Ray Serrano and Ryan Priddy both getting three hits. Dustin Jones also had two hits to extend his hitting streak to 11 games. Sioux City will begin a three-game series Friday at St. Paul with game time 7:05.
