Grand Prairie 14, El Paso 6

Grand Prairie scored runs in seven different innings en route to a 14-6 win against El Paso at Cohen Stadium. The AirHogs jumped to a 7-0 lead early, but the Diablos scored their first run in the bottom of the third inning when designated hitter Stephen Douglas batted in center fielder Kory Drew. Grand Prairie scored two runs in each of the next two frames, but El Paso caught up by scoring three runs in the fourth and one in the fifth. After taking an 11-5 lead, Grand Prairie added a run in the seventh and two in the eighth to seal the deal. El Paso added a run in the bottom of the frame when third baseman Johan Garcia hit a solo home run, but it wasn't enough to top Grand Prairie. Catcher Chris McMurray led Grand Prairie with four hits, four runs and two RBI in four at-bats, and Drew chipped in two hits, one run and one RBI for the Diablos. Lance Janke, now 2-1 on the season, earned the win by allowing six hits, five runs and striking out six in five innings pitched.
