NOT A DAYTIME DELIGHT: West Virginia lost 6-3 on Wednesday at Lexington. The Legends tagged Brandon Holden for five runs over the fourth and fifth innings. The right-hander took his fourth loss, three of which have come since he entered the rotation. Jose Altuve hit a home run for the Legends, who evened the season series out at three wins each. Jose Hernandez had his second three hit game of the year for the Power in the loss.

POWER V LEGENDS: West Virginia has played Lexington more than any other team dating back to the 2005 season. The Power lead the all-time series 55-52, and trails 25-29 at Appalachian Power Park. West Virginia does, however, have the edge at Applebee's Park in Lexington, winning 30 of 53 games. The 2009 series was split at six wins and six losses.

MAY DAYS: West Virginia went 15-15 during the month of May and hit .229, ten points lower than their average in April when they went 9-12. The staff ERA in May, however, was 3.65, compared to 3.80 during the first month of the season. The Power also hit 21 home runs in May, compared to nine during April.

JOSUE HAS GONE AWAY: The Pittsburgh Pirates traded Josue Peley to Boston after Sunday's game. Peley was selected by the Pirates in the 35th round of the 2006 draft and had been a member of the Power roster from the outset of the 2009 season. The catcher was hitting .179 this season over 19 games with six runs batted in. West Virginia went 11-8 with Peley behind the plate this season. Pittsburgh reacquired outfielder Jonathan Van Every from Boston and assigned him to Indianapolis.

ADDITION BY SUBTRACTION: Pittsburgh has promoted Pat Irvine to the West Virginia roster to fill the spot vacated by the Josue Peley deal. Irvine was selected in the 33rd round of the 2009 draft from Elon University. The catcher/ outfielder hit .245 over 66 games last year for State College with three home runs and 41 runs batted in.

WALK THIS WAY: Evan Chambers leads the SAL with 39 walks, one more than Delmarva's Brian Conley. Chambers is also among the leaders across all of Minor League Baseball. The Lakeland, Florida native is in sixth place, trailing leader Kane County's Conner Crumbliss by ten free passes.

LEADING BASEBALL: West Virginia has hit into 17 double plays this season, the fewest amount of any team in full-season, affiliated baseball. The next lowest total in the SAL is 25 by Lakewood. The lowest tally among Major League teams is 25 by the San Diego Padres, while the lowest mark in the American League is 30 by Tampa Bay.

POWER POINTS: The Power were shutout for the sixth time this season on Sunday, surpassing their 2009 season-long total...

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh had its series finale with Chicago rained out and opens a series with San Francisco tonight... Indianapolis lost 2-1 at Gwinnett... Altoona doubled up New Britain 10-5... Bradenton scored six late runs to beat Lakeland 8-7.
