
Wranglers Win Home Opener 4-1

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Stockton Thunder 4-1 in front of 4,366 fans at the Orleans Arena on Sunday night. Forward Peter Ferraro scored the game-winning goal and added two assists as Las Vegas won their 15th straight regular season games dating back to last season. Center Chris Ferraro also notched his first goal of the year, while adding an assist. Winger Shawn Limpright also scored and added an assist. Rookie goalie John Curry stopped 23 of 24 Stockton shots, improving to 2-0-0 on the season. Las Vegas and Stockton will play again on Tuesday at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.
In the first period, Stockton jumped out to a 1-0 lead with an early power-play goal by Brad Farynuk. The Thunder defenseman fired a shot through traffic from the point just 1:50 into the Wranglers home opener. Las Vegas roared back with two goals before the end of the period. Left wing Shawn Limpright tallied his first goal of the year just 16-seconds later, tying the game 1-1. Captain Peter Ferraro scored his first goal of the season at 16:30 for the 2-1 lead after one period of play.
Las Vegas pushed their lead to 3-1 in the second period at 7:08 as Chris Ferraro scored off his own rebound. The Wranglers closed it out in the final period, pushing their lead to 4-1. Right wing Adam Cracknell snapped in his first goal of the year at 18:20 for the three-goal win.
The Wranglers host Stockton in a rematch on Tuesday, October 23rd at 7:05 pm. The team will travel to Victoria for games on Friday and Saturday, then return home on Friday, November 2nd.

The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue. Las Vegas will host Opening Night on Sunday, October 21st at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.
