
Wranglers Trump Aces 3-1

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Alaska Aces 3-1 on Tuesday night at the Orleans Arena. Marc Magliarditi led Las Vegas with 27 saves, winning his 17th game of the season. Chris Kenady added a goal and an assist in the victory. Greg Day and Doug Wright also scored in the win. The victory moves the Wranglers into sole possession of second place in the Pacific Division. Las Vegas heads to Bakersfield to take on the Condors at 7:00 pm Saturday before the All-Star Break.
The Wranglers' Greg Day scored 45 second into the game giving Las Vegas an early 1-0 lead. Kenady found Day wide open in front of the net for the game's opening goal.
At 11:01 of the second period, the Aces Mike Lee tied the game at one with a wrist shot. Las Vegas took a 2-1 lead on a power-play goal by Doug Wright. Aces' goalie misplayed the puck and Wright scored with 39 seconds to play in the period.
Kenady sealed the victory for the Wranglers with an empty-net goal with 26 seconds left to play in the game for the 3-1 final.
The Wranglers return home to the Orleans Arena on January 27th when they host the San Diego Gulls at 7:05 pm.
