Florida Acquires Forward Thompson

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades President/GM Craig Brush announced today that the Everblades have acquired forward Chris Thompson from the Augusta Lynx (ECHL). Also, defenseman Peter Reynolds has been recalled by the Carolina Hurricanes (NHL) and reassigned to Augusta (ECHL).

Thompson (6' 195 lbs.) has spent the majority of this season with the Columbus Stars (UHL) and has registered 14 points in 30 games including 114 PIM's. The Stars recently ceased operations in the United Hockey League. He has also played 2 games this season in the American Hockey League with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. Last season, Thompson split time between Cincinnati (AHL), Augusta (ECHL) and Dayton (ECHL) registering 56 points and 261 PIM's in 72 games. Thompson will be in the lineup on Friday night when the Blades take on the Roanoke Express at 7:30 PM.
