
Wranglers stay undefeated at home

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers (8-4-1, 17 Points) beat the Stockton Thunder (4-6-2, 10 Points) 3-2 in front of 6,444 fans at the Orleans Arena on Friday night. Right wing Todd Alexander scored two power play goals, including the game winner. Goalie Mike Mckenna held Stockton scoreless until the final 1:09 of the game, finishing with 19 saves. Center Matt Dzieduszycki also scored in the Las Vegas victory. Saturday night, Las Vegas will host the Victoria Salmon Kings at 7:05 pm.
Las Vegas jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first period when Dzieduszycki scored on a rebound to give the Wranglers the go-ahead goal at 16:29 of the first period. The Wranglers outshot the Thunder 17-4 in the opening period of play.
In the second period, Las Vegas extended their lead to 2-0 with Alexander's first goal of the night. The Wranglers set up the power play when defenseman Scott Schoneck floated a shot in from the point that was redirected by Alexander at 12:09. Alexander's fifth of the season gave Las Vegas a two-goal lead.
Alexander scored his second goal of the night just 8:38 into the third period. Alexander tipped in another shot, this one coming off the stick of defenseman Christian Chartier. Stockton's Mike Lalonde and Aaron Foster each scored goals in the last 1:09 for the final score of 3-2.
Saturday, November 26th, the Wranglers host the Victoria Salmon Kings and the annual Teddy Bear Toss. When the Wranglers score their first goal of the night, fans may throw a teddy bear onto the ice for charity. All the bears collected will be donated to Olive Crest. Fans can attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game Party from 4:30-6:30 pm in the parking lot of the Orleans Arena on prior to Saturday's game.
