SAN DIEGO - It's Mullet Night so you know what that means! If not then you'll have to come to the ipayOne Center tonight to watch the San Diego Gulls take on the Stockton Thunder. SERIES HISTORY: The Gulls and Thunder have met once so far this season with Stockton holding an early 1-0-0 series edge. The two teams will square off five more times during the regular season, four of which will be played in Stockton.

11/5/05 Stockton 4 @ San Diego 3 (overtime)
LAST HEAD-TO-HEAD MEETING (NOV. 5 AT SAN DIEGO): A standing room only crowd of 13,001 filled the ipayOne Center for San Diego's home opener, only to see the Gulls fall 4-3 in overtime to Stockton. Steve Slonina scored 53 seconds into the extra frame and netminder Jake Moreland stopped 39 shots en route to the Thunder's victory. Frantisek Skladany led San Diego offensively with two goals.
GULLS UPDATE: San Diego (6-7-2) enters the day with 14 points, tied for second in the Pacific Division with the Long Beach Ice Dogs. The Gulls and Ice Dogs trail the first-place Fresno Falcons by four points and are two points ahead of the fourth-place Bakersfield Condors... San Diego broke a two-game losing streak last night and is now unbeaten in seven of its last nine games (5-2-2)... In those nine games, five have been decided by one goal and three have been decided by two goals... The Gulls played 10 of their first 13 games on the road... Tonight is the third of a season-long seven-game homestand.
OTHER NOTES: Wednesday was San Diego's 400th all-time home game (which includes all West Coast Hockey League and postseason play). The Gulls are 309-70-22 all-time at home (.798 winning percentage)... Guillaume Fournier is in the midst of a career-high nine-game point streak (5g, 7a)... The "French Fries" line of Fournier, Pierre-Luc Sleigher and Martin Mandeville has combined for 25 points (11g, 14a) in the last nine games... Dan DaSilva has four points (2g, 2a) in two games since being assigned from the American Hockey League's Lowell Lock Monsters... Steve Hildenbrand has seven points in the last five games (3g, 4a)... The Gulls have killed 37 of their last 39 penalties, dating back to Nov. 12 in Fresno... San Diego has scored 17 power-play goals in the last nine games...
STOCKTON UPDATE: Stockton (4-6-2) begins the day last in the Pacific Division with 10 points, four behind San Diego and Long Beach and two back of Bakersfield... The Thunder, however, have played the fewest games in the division... Stockton, awaiting the completion of its arena, is in the midst of a 15-game road trip to start the season... Including tonight, the Thunder have three more games on their road trip... Their home opener is scheduled for Dec. 10 against Phoenix... Stockton has the third best power play in the ECHL (25.0 percent)...
TRANSACTIONS: Defenseman Justin Silver was re-signed yesterday... DaSilva was assigned by Lowell Tuesday... Right-winger Jesse Bennefield was activated from the seven-day injured list Tuesday... Defenseman Doug MacIver was placed on the seven-day injured reserve Tuesday with a knee sprain... Center Alex Kim and defenseman Jason Reimers were both signed on Monday... Chet Ferreira remains out of the lineup with a knee injury... Forward Frantisek Skladany and defenseman Tomas Slovak both remain with Lowell...
