Wranglers Gear Up for First Game at the Orleans Arena

October 9, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL)
Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas, NV- Friday night's preseason game between the Las Vegas Wranglers and the Bakersfield Condors will be the first professional hockey game played in the beautiful Orleans Arena since it opened in May. When the puck drops at 7:05, it will be first meeting between these two clubs.

"It's going to be a good time for us to run through a lot of operational issues with a new staff, new building and new fans," Wranglers Vice President Billy Johnson said. "We will be saving the full show for our opener on October 24, but the preseason game will provide a great deal of practical experience for everyone, and some fun for the fans."

"It's hard to believe that hockey season is here," said Orleans Arena General Manager Steve Stallworth. "We've been planning this for well over a year, before the arena was even built. This game is a very important first for the Orleans Arena."

The Wranglers and Condors will face off again this Saturday in the final preseason game of the year at Bakersfield. The two teams will play each other ten times during the regular season. The Wranglers' home opener on October 21st will mark the first meeting between the two teams in the regular season.

Wranglers' individual game seats are on sale now. Wranglers' ticket locations are the Orleans Arena Box Office, Coast Casinos' showroom box offices at The Orleans, Gold Coast and Suncoast, or at the Boulevard, Galleria or Meadows Malls guest relations/ticket centers. Fans may also order tickets by phone at (702) 284-7777 or on the web at www.orleansarena.com.

Season seat packages to see the Wranglers play at the Orleans Arena in 2003-2004 are now on sale for as low as $90. Call the Wranglers at (702)-471-PUCK (7825) or visit their website at www.lasvegaswranglers.com for more information.
